PM Shree Tourism Helicopter Services to Launch for Pachmarhi, Ujjain and Key Tourist Destinations from November 20
Madhya Pradesh is set to launch PM Shree Tourism Helicopter Services from November 20, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country with inter-state tourism helicopter connectivity. The service, operated by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, aims to significantly cut travel time and improve access to the state’s major धार्मिक, wildlife and hill destinations.
Under the initiative, regular helicopter flights will connect prominent tourist locations including Pachmarhi, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Satpura Tiger Reserve, and both Jyotirlinga shrines—Ujjain and Omkareshwar.
Routes and Connectivity
The helicopter will operate on three primary routes:
Overall, the service will link eight major cities and three national parks, sharply reducing travel times. For instance, Indore to Omkareshwar will take just 25 minutes, while Bhopal to Pachmarhi will be covered in about 40 minutes.
Helicopter Ticket Fares
The tentative fares have been fixed at:
- ₹2,500 for Indore–Omkareshwar
- ₹5,000 for Bhopal–Pachmarhi
Schedule and Capacity
The PM Shree Tourism Helicopter will operate five days a week—Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday—with no services on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each flight will have a seating capacity of six passengers.
Officials said the initiative is expected to boost tourism, improve last-mile connectivity and make travel to Madhya Pradesh’s key destinations faster and more convenient.
